Plum family (Rosaceae)

• Leaves finely toothed with slightly pointed tip, up to 11cm (4.5in) long. Smooth on both sides when fully open.
• Branches and twigs usually spiny.
• Flowers whitewith pink tinge, 5 petals, up to 4cm (1.5in) across.
• Fruit small, up to 4cm (1.5in) in diameter, yellowish-green, sour to taste.
